Jersey Water has today announced the appointment of Julie Taylor to the position of Operations Director. Ms Taylor is a Chartered Process Chemist and environmental scientist who is recognised as an executive leader and technical expert in the UK water and environmental sector.
In this new executive position, Ms. Taylor will head up the water supply side of the Company with overall leadership responsibility for Water Supply, Water Quality, Asset Management and Water Network Teams.
With a career that spans 38 years in the water industry, Ms. Taylor has worked in the UK, USA, Australia, Africa and Asia, spending 30 years with United Utilities, who deliver water to more than 3 million homes in the North West of England. Starting her career as a laboratory technician then moving into Asset Management and Operations finally being appointed as Water Director for United Utilities. More recently she was the UK Water Director for Veolia, the UK leader in environmental waste, water and energy management services. In addition, she has held key leadership roles in Laing O Rourke and Mott Macdonald delivering the water and waste capital programmes for Thames, Severn Trent and Yorkshire Water.
