Jersey Water has announced that it has reached agreement to purchase De La Haye Plant Limited, a haulage and water tankering business operating in Jersey. Completion of the acquisition is subject to approval from the Channel Islands Competition and Regulatory Authorities (CICRA).
De La Haye Plant Limited is a well-established local company operating a fleet of tankers to deliver water to private and commercial customers around the Island. The acquisition will further Jersey Water’s strategy to grow and develop its business.
Jersey Water’s Chief Executive, Helier Smith, said: “We are delighted to have reached agreement to purchase the company. De La Haye Plant provides a perfect fit with our business and over the years has developed an excellent reputation by focusing on meeting the needs of its customers. We will continue in that tradition and ensure that De La Haye Plant goes from strength to strength.”
Jersey Water are in the process of recruiting staff to support the expanding business going forward.
