Jersey Water has recently presented a cheque for £7,320 to Friends of Jersey Oncology (FOJO), the Company’s staff nominated charity for 2014.
Cheryl Kaye, Chairman of the Jersey Water Charity Committee commented: “We are delighted to be able to present FOJO with a cheque for £7,320 from our fundraising activities during 2014. Jersey Water staff held a wide variety of fund raising events to raise the money including a car boot sale, cake bakes, dress down days and a raffle. We were very pleased to support the FOJO team and the valuable work that they do with our fundraising in 2014. We know that the money raised is going to a very worthwhile cause and that it will benefit patients undergoing chemotherapy treatment in the Oncology ward.”
About the Friends of Jersey Oncology (FOJO)
FOJO is based at the Jersey General Hospital and was formed to raise funds for the purchase of non- States provided equipment and services for the Jersey Oncology Unit. Funds raised provide additional care, comfort and support for the Units patients, families and loved ones.
