Jersey Water employees this morning found remains of a body at Handois reservoir. The employees were completing routine maintenance work when the discovery was made. They immediately informed the Police who have subsequently secured the site as they conduct their investigation.
Helier Smith, Chief Executive Officer, said “this is clearly a distressing time for our staff and in particular the team working at Handois today, all of whom have been offered every support. Our thoughts are also with Adrian’s family.”
Handois reservoir has been subjected to several Police searches during the ongoing investigation. The reservoir, which is not normally open to the public, is now under the control of the police and there is no access to anyone without prior police approval.
Jersey Water will continue to do all it can to support the Police as they complete their investigation.
